The key clinkles, the lock turns and the door needs a slight push to pry it open — a moisture-absorbed puffed wooden block stuck in a frame. And then he comes running to me. His eyes show affection. His half-open mouth wanting to call my name out. His prancing about reflecting the joy in seeing me.
